Welcome to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) in Ystad! We belong to the Kristianstad area, which is part of Bup Skåne and includes the units in Hässleholm, Kristianstad, and Ystad. The area has about 100 employees who work for and with children and adolescents up to 18 years old with moderate to severe mental health issues and their families.

Bup Ystad consists of a reception unit where outpatient care is the base of the clinical operations, and here you will also find a middle care unit, an eating disorder team, and an infant and toddler unit. We are a staff group of about 45 employees consisting of medical secretaries, nurses, psychologists, psychotherapists, health and medical care social workers, social workers, child psychiatrists, resident doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, PTP psychologists, and a unit manager. We have a close collaboration with the habilitation clinic regarding shared patients. The Mariam clinic is also nearby.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Bup in Ystad is now looking for another medical secretary to join a group of other medical secretaries in the unit. As a medical secretary, you are the spider in the web for both patients and staff. You are our face to the outside world, and your approach means a lot for patients and families to feel seen and welcome. You will come to a pleasant and exciting workplace with an engaged workgroup that values good camaraderie.

Your tasks are varied and include close collaboration with other professional categories in the unit. You will work with reception duties, phone service, visit registration, printing certificates, and other general administrative/secretarial tasks.

The working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80 credits (KY) / 400 credits (YH) or equivalent medical secretary education. You have good knowledge of medical terminology and good skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have worked in and/or have an interest in psychiatric operations as well as programs/systems such as Melior, Pasis/Våps, Qlik-View, Excel.

You, as an applicant, are welcoming and have the patient in focus. As a medical secretary with us, it is required that you can work independently, are engaged, have great flexibility, are meticulous and responsible, and can take your own initiatives based on what the operation requires. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and see the benefits of good cooperation both within and outside the unit. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
